Throwback# Places: Gimhae Observatory

Spring come again, it such a nice period for travelling to Korea. ^^ For this year I don't have any plan to go back my "second hometown" a.k.a Korea ㅋㅋㅋ. However, whenever I heard any of my friends having a plan to travel to Korea; its make me envy them!ㅋㅋㅋ As I travel abroad twice on January, I felt ahh I should saving again for next traveling!ㅠㅠ

Since I'm missing Korea so much, I glance my Korea albums again and again.ㅠㅠ It remind me of some nice places that I've been to but not yet writing specifically in here.ㅋㅋㅋ For today, lets travel with me to Gimhae Observatory.ㅋㅋㅋSome people are more familiar with Busan isn't it??What about Gimhae then??

Gimhae is located in Gyeongsangnam-do province, which take around 30 minutes driving from Busan. Wanna know where is Busan Airport?? It's actually at Gimhae-si.ㅋㅋㅋ One of a nice place that I've been at Gimhae is Gimhae Observatory. I'm not sure if there is public transport to this place because I went there at night, with my Gimhae friend. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Its quite cold as we went there during late autumn! ㅋㅋㅋ

Even though it was cold, we still hiking until we reach at it peak. ㅋㅋㅋ At one spot we can see the whole area of Gimhae from this observatory. Too bad my DSLR camera setting is not that good.. so I don't have a nice photo here!ㅠㅠ Gimhae Observatory starts open to public since February 2002. This public observatory is the only ONE at Yeongnam area.

The shape of Gimhae Observatory resembles an egg as to honor King Kim Suro, the founder of Garak Kingdom during Gaya Period. This observatory been build at the top of Bunseongsan. The purpose of building it as to inspire young generation as well to satisfy public curiosity about universe and to let them create a memorable experience while coming over here. ^^ For more information about this observatory you can visit here and this.

p/s: We didn't went inside observatory building but we went at one spot within observatory area which we can see entire of Gimhae. Owh you can see it at photo number 3! ^^~ Exactly the same spot!

Life:Wonder why there are so many tents in the middle of Seoul city??!!

As the wind blew gently, its time for Korean going out and enjoying outdoor activities after been wrap up with padded winter jacket for few months! ㅋㅋㅋ Spring, that always bring spectacular view in Korea; never failed to make every traveler fall for its beauty!! ^^ How I wish I'm there so that I can hold cherry blossom, as well spending a night out with my Korean friends watching over the stars! ㅋㅋㅋ

Seems a very nice plan isn't it?? ㅋㅋㅋ Yes with this nice weather, many Korean will gather together or bring their family for camping during weekend! For camping, normally some of us might think its somewhere in the forest isn't it??ㅋㅋㅋ Well its very different with Korean cultural, for them during spring or autumn they will camping at any open space that suitable for this activity. ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Be it in the field, or park, lots of them will rent equipment gear and happily camping! ㅋㅋㅋ

Since this activities become some sort of Korean cultural, their government even permit them camping within the city! Well don't get me wrong!! In the city doesn't mean near to the street! ㅋㅋㅋ Of course at park like Noeul Campground in World Cup Park and others.ㅋㅋㅋ One of famous spot for camping  in Seoul is Seoul Grand Park. Every weekend you can see line up of tents around there, with colorful tent, its like a festival! ㅋㅋㅋFor more information about campsite you can visit here.

This activities allowed them to relax with their love one, after having a stressful hectic schedule during weekdays.ㅋㅋㅋ Sometimes they make a new friends too while camping!ㅋㅋㅋ Sharing same interest, experience, knowledge and joys; that's make this activities more enjoyable and lively! I wish someday I can experience this activity too, not necessarily in Korea perhaps at any suitable placeㅋㅋㅋ However if I get a chance to experience it in Korea, it would be bonus for me! ㅋㅋㅋ

p/s: If you are in Korea now, why don't give a try camping within city? Might be new or good experience to you! ㅋㅋ

Korean Restaurant Review # Malaysia: The Street Cafe

For those who love Korea so much, how about their delicacies?? Do you guys love Korean Cuisine?? Have you try any Korean restaurant at your city without flying to Korea?? ㅋㅋㅋ Well if you ask me about the taste, of course having meal in Korea is the BEST compare when eating at Korean restaurant in foreign countries! ㅋㅋㅋ

However that doesn't mean all Korean restaurants in foreign country is BAD! It's depend on the ingredient and person in charge for particular meal.ㅋㅋㅋ Sometimes even if we eat at motherland of particular meal, it taste not good too!ㅋㅋ Different people have different taste buds! So we can't really say it taste the best, maybe for me it taste the best but for someone else, its just bland?? ㅋㅋㅋ

For today I'm going to suggest one Korean restaurant/cafe in my country that I've been to few times! Actually this cafe is the FIRST Korean cafe I have ever been entire of my life!ㅋㅋㅋ Before I went to this cafe I just glance at internet about Korean dishes and wonder when I will try it for real! ㅋㅋㅋ While hanging out with my cousin, she suggest us to try Korean food as at that time we were counting months for going to Korea! ㅋㅋㅋ

Before we decided to try, we search for a good Korean restaurant review on the internet and we found it! Wee ^^ There are few good Korean restaurants review in our country but this name captured our interest!ㅋㅋㅋ  The Street Cafe. People always says when we go for travelling, always try their street food because street food normally taste the best and inexpensive compare to luxury restaurant!ㅋㅋㅋ with that fact we went to the cafe, it is located at Subang Jaya, Selangor. ^^

The owner of this cafe is a Korean who live in Malaysia for few years, so basically he knows every ingredient the best, and most ingredient were imported direct from Korea!! For Muslim Korean food lovers, NO WORRY! This cafe got their halal certificate status from IFRC Asia.Wee ^^ This cafe have two branch. Main branch is at Subang Jaya, and another branch is at Sunway Pyramid.

The food selection is variety too and inexpensive! How about the taste?? If it's not yummy enough I don't think they won't simply got Official Endorsement from The Taste of Korea!ㅋㅋㅋ For those who love Korean Cuisine they will know The Taste of Korea isn't it?? Or you can refer here. For more information about the cafe you can check it out here.

p/s: Since they got good response from Muslim Korean food lover, I heard that they had delivery business in Korea! Maybe you can ask them at their page for confirmation.

Guideline: How to know "Halal product in Korea"

Some of you might noticed that I've wrote about this topic before isn't it? I guess in two separate entries ㅋㅋㅋ, well first one is about a restaurant in Itaewon?? Perhaps I should change that entry topic as in the future I would like to write some review about restaurants that I've been to in Korea, where Muslim can eat without worry. Wee ^^ ㅋㅋㅋ.  Another entry is about how to check packaging food in Korea by using special application via smartphone.

Then why I choose to write about this topic again?? O-o Curious to know about it?? ㅋㅋㅋ Well this is because its simply another way to know about "halal product in Korea!"ㅋㅋㅋ At first when I saw her page and get to know the admin, I was amazed! You guys must wonder why I was amazed right? ㅋㅋㅋ This is because the admin for this page is Non-Muslim ㅋㅋㅋ 대박! Me as Muslim myself didn't try to do something like that but she did! Hats off to her!! ^^ Congratulation! Way off to go!!
파이팅!

Basically, how does it work?? To know if particular product from Korea is "Halal", can be consumed by Muslim, all you have to do is just to e-mail her at Halal.inKorea@gmail.com or simply like Halal in Korea page and inbox her, she will try her best to contact the manufacturer of products and let you guys know by posting on her page ^^ However, don't expect a very quick respond as for sure she might get hundreds of request per day??! ㅋㅋㅋ and she also have her own life, like us, so many thing to do.ㅋㅋㅋ

P/s: Muslim who plan to visit Korea and wanna try some Korean products like some of their snacks, you can refer list on Halal in Korea page or asking page admin to check particular product for you before trying ^^ . Or any Korean who wanna send package to their international Muslim friends, they can refer there too!ㅋㅋㅋ
