My Korea Trip Journal: Day 8

After hearing his confession, I try to sleep but then I'm struggling to close my eyes!!ㅋㅋㅋ I can't believe it! I kept thinking what he's saw in me??? Why he likes me?? Did he's serious or just trying to play prank on me?? I felt sorry for whoever sleep inside the same room as I kept moving left and right side!ㅋㅋㅋ They might felt interrupted! Sorry ladies!!

No matter hard I try to sleep I can't! My mind was @_@!!*# He's younger than me! Even same age with my younger brother?? Should I accept him or shouldn't I? However he's a good and reliable man. I kept watching my phone to check what time is it.. He told me that he ll leave early in the morning and refused to wake me up! It's already 6:00 a.m but there still no sound of anyone wake up from the next room! I think he's really exhausted and sleep like a baby?ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Then I decided to go out from the room. I washed and brush my teeth, then I stay at living room. Nothing to do, so I just read some magazine even it was written in Korean!ㅋㅋ Something scared me! It's going to be Halloween soon so I'm kind of having a heart attack! Thought what was it, but its guesthouse cat!! ㅋㅋㅋ (Owhh I forgot to snap it pictures!) Then I kept playing with the cat. ^^ (I'm a cat person) Then someone came out from his room, but it's not him.. ㅠㅠ

I kept glance at my phone! I don't think he left because I didn't heard any sound of leaving before. After a while I saw he just woke up! ㅋㅋㅋ However he didn't saw me, lol! He straightly going to have shower. Then after he finish and ready to get out, he saw me at the living room. ㅋㅋㅋ He stopped by and asking what am I doing there. I told him I was waiting for him and wanna see sunrise with him.ㅋㅋ His reaction was "I think you didn't sleep last night??" I wanna lie to him but I'm not good at it. ㅋㅋㅋ

He asking me did I had my breakfast? I said no, then he told me to wait and left for a while. He left all his stuff with me and just bringing his phone. About 5-10 minutes later, he's back and told me that he just make a phone call. From his face, seems like he's confusing?? I asked him why, then he told me about who he call to and he's also shocked with their reaction!! (sorry I can't reveal who is it, to protect him). ^^* Then we had breakfast. (He didn't eat anything he just prepared simple breakfast for me) ㅋㅋㅋ.

He told me he need to go somewhere and he will come back later. I wanna go with him but he told me to get some sleep! I have no choice though..so I went to sleep. Since I didn't sleep last night, I have a deep sleep! 5 hours sleep?? ^^~~~~ When I woke up it was already afternoon! I wonder why he didn't wake me up?? Did he just left?? I katalk him asking where he is..

He told me that he's at living room. I'm little bit mad at him actually because I don't like people waiting for me! ㅋㅋㅋ so I'm rushing having shower and get ready to go out. Today we going to meet one of my friend. She live at Gimhae. I contact my friend and decide where to meet and at what time. Then while we ride subway he call my friend to ask which station we should get off.

My friend quite shocked! I told her I'm going to meet her with a friend but I didn't says guy or girl! ㅋㅋㅋ They talking in Korean but I have no idea what they talking about.. ㅠㅠ The only thing I understand is when he mentioned my name! ㅋㅋㅋ. While we riding subway we saw sunset! It was so nice! ^^ Then I ask him what they talking about earlier? He told me that my friend kept asking who he is..ㅋㅋㅋ and how we met. ㅋㅋ I ask him what was his answer to my friend. He told me he knew me, only that, no specific relationship. ㅋㅋ

Then he ask me what will I tell my friend later, about him. Since I haven't give him the answer yet so he's bit curious. Actually I wanna told him this morning, but after he make that phone call I felt very touch! I realized that he's a good guy! I'm such a "바보"(stupid) if I let him go! ㅋㅋ However I have no chance to tell him since I'm too shy??!! ㅋㅋㅋ so when he kept asking me inside subway, I think this is the right time to give him the answer. ;)

What would it be?? Curious?? ㅋㅋㅋ I told him, "well if my friend asking about it,us I will tell my friend that you are my special! My boyfriend ^^~~~ At that time I can see that his face was blushing! ㅋㅋㅋ so do I, I guess so! ^^~~~ I feel relief after I told him. ^^ Then we met my friend, she's very friendly to us. She kept asking about how we met and our relation. ㅋㅋㅋ I told her he's my boyfriend, and I wish to hide after that! shy! ^^~~~

We having our dinner, seafood soup! The taste was really good!!!My friend envy us hahha! Well we didn't show our affection much but my friend told me that "we looks really good together!"^^~ Sometimes they talking in Korean, and I have no idea about it! ㅠㅠ After having our dinner, we went somewhere to grab our coffee! ^^ My boyfriend is not a fan of coffee though, ㅋㅋㅋ so he just had ice chocolate. My friend having tea latte and me of course caffeine addicted! ㅋㅋㅋ

After we had our desert/coffee, my friend bring us to Gimhae observation center (I snapped pictures but it didn't turn out good ㅠㅠ). We hiking at night! ㅋㅋㅋ What a very spectacular Gimhae view we had!^^ Then my friend bring us to Gimhae international traditional market. We saw a lots of interesting product even from my country!! We also having our first bong eo bbang! Then my friend drop by at the supermarket and bought me instant coffee since I love to drink coffee so much!! She bought us ice cream too! Yummy! Then she drop off us at the subway station. We really enjoy being together and heading to our guesthouse. :) Something will happen on the next day! Keep eye on my blog! ^^**

My Korea Trip Journal : Day 7

Since I was too exhausting last night, I woke up little bit late!ㅋㅋㅋ. As it quite late I'm kind of bit blur,I straightly open my room door! Then I saw a guesthouse owner and one of the Korean guy at the kitchen! I was like!! Oh no!! I think I'm look very messy!! ^^~~~ They says morning and I think I replied them even though that was one of my embarrassing moment while I'm at Korea??ㅋㅋㅋ

Then I showered. After finish pack my stuff for a last time and checking everything. It's quite late to have breakfast but then I can't leave guesthouse without eat anything because the journey took around 4 hours and 30 minutes?? My belly will produce strange sounds later! ㅋㅋㅋ Then I realized I had a side dishes to eat but I don't have rice!! I went down to the grocery and bought an instant rice.

When I'm back, the guesthouse owner already left, only me and two Korean guys there. One take a shower, another one playing guitar. I want to eat my rice but I don't know how to operate the microwave! ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ so I ask him to help me to re-heat my instant rice. ^^~~ He help me to re-heat it. I went to my room to take the side dishes then I found out owh I still have some postcards left! Hmm I guess I can give him since he help me to check my bus schedule last night and re-heat my rice?? ㅋㅋㅋ

I gave him the postcard. Then I ask him to join me for breakfast. Too late for breakfast! I guess brunch?? (breakfast+lunch) ㅋㅋ I explain to him about my traditional side dishes and ask him to try it. While I'm enjoying my rice, he also seems enjoying trying the side dishes. ^^ Then I ask him "where is the guesthouse owner??" He told me that the guesthouse owner left. Then another Korean guy left the guesthouse, so just two of us remaining there. I ask him about his plan. He told me he's not sure yet.

Again, I told him to help me to contact the guesthouse owner as I wanna take our last photo since I wanna write about the guesthouse later. After I finish re-check my stuff. He called the guesthouse owner and telling about my request. We need to wait for about 20 minutes as the guesthouse owner went for hiking. I try to transfer my photos to my portable external hard disk. Since the lap top was in Korean, I don't know what to do and again asking for his help! Ahhhh too many help I ask him! ㅋㅋㅋ

I ask him for a second time about his plan, still he had no idea. Then out of blue I ask him " can you accompany me to Busan?" Well I don't expect much, just asking.. My phone kept ringing! Katalk message from my closed friend asking where am I?? He kept telling me the bus ll leave soon! I didn't reply it as I'm waiting for Korean guy answer. ㅋㅋㅋ However I don't rely on him much as I just try my luck!ㅋㅋㅋ Then he agreed to travel to Busan with me. ^^ Yay!!!

We still waiting for a guesthouse owner, While waiting he's playing guitar and singing. I even record him! ㅋㅋㅋ When the guesthouse owner arrived, we immediately took pictures together and chat for a very short period. Then I replied my closed friend katalk and we left to the U-square. As time is running out, we just took cab there. Right after we arrived at U-square we heading to the bus ticket counter. I offered to pay the bus ticket for him since I ask for his help but he refused!

He told me no need to pay for his bus ticket, since I'm travel alone I should save some cash! so I just give him cash to buy the ticket.We don't have enough time to argue! ㅋㅋㅋ He bought our bus ticket but the seat was separate!He asked the bus driver if we can sit together so that we can plan our trip at Busan. I told him about my plan at Busan and we chat for a while then I don't know when I fell asleep!ㅋㅋㅋ ^^~~

I think I have a long slept! When I woke up we about to reach Busan!ㅋㅋㅋ Once we reach Busan he taught me on how to save budget by buying budgeting subway pass. I never know about this! ㅋㅋ Then while we heading to Nampodong, (guesthouse that I booked earlier) he told me that it's been so long since his last visit to Busan. He don't like Busan and Nampodong as it leaved bad memories to him. I ask him "why Busan left him bad memories?" He told me that his Ex-gf live at Busan! I felt sorry for him! If I knew I won't ask him to travel with me to Busan!

We checked in the guesthouse. The funny thing is since he didn't wear his glasses, guesthouse staff thought he's foreigner! They start to speak with him in Japanese??ㅋㅋㅋ!! He told them that he's Korean! The staff keep says sorry to him.LOL After we check in, we went out to grab something as quite starving!ㅋㅋㅋ First we try japchae at Busan downtown. Then we went to one of famous signature street food at Busan. We try pajeon and squid salad. Marvelous!! I really love it taste!!

Then we ride subway to the two most famous beach in Busan! Haeundae and Gwanggali beach!He suggest to go to Haeundae beach first. We went there and strolling along the beach. Since it was cold, he offered his hand to me. Well at first I was like hmmm, but since it was cold yes I need some heat. ㅋㅋㅋ After snap some pictures we decided to go to Gwanggali beach. At Gwanggali beach he bought firework! He told me normally Korean couple will buy firework and play it on sea shore with Gwanggwan Bridge as the background!

On my mind was @_@! Quite confused! ㅋㅋㅋ but since we travel together why not we play firework together? It would be nice experience for both of us. ^^ We play the firework and snap some pictures. Then we heading back to Nampodong for having late dinner. ㅋㅋㅋ  Since it was too late, we just choose a restaurant that near to our guesthouse. We ate seafood and rice. ㅋㅋㅋ The restaurant staff kept asking him in Korean about me, I have no idea what they talking about though! ㅠㅠ

After finish our dinner, we had coffee and cheese cake ^^ at other place. While having this desert, we watch TV and that's how I'm trapped to be Korean drama fan again!!! ㅋㅋㅋ Then we went back to our guesthouse. The staff already left and no ones around, so we just sit in one corner and chatting.

He told me that he wanna tell something to me. I told him "ok, what is it?". Suddenly he confessed to me!!! I was like @_@!!!!! I didn't expect this at all! I ask him what was the reason?? He told me no reasons at all its just he felt it. He didn't force me to give an answer right away to him though. He says he didn't expect much but he just wanna told me that because he don't like to feel stuffy. Tomorrow he will leaving early in the morning, so I had couple of hours to give him the answer. Curious to know my answer to him and what happen tomorrow?? Don't forget to keep reading my next entry! :P

My Korea Trip Journal: Day 6

Yesterday having a very exciting day and have to make tough decision today! Thinking about it make me wanna lay more on my bed. ㅋㅋㅋ I kept looking at my phone! No sound today, no katalk message from my closed friend.. what should I do?? Should I text him? but I haven't make up my mind yet!! Didn't he worry about me? All those appear on my mind!

Still, I'm lying on my bed with 2 layers of comforter. It's 11 a.m.. Then my phone ringing! Katalk message! Owhh my!! What should I do?? I look at it and my friend asking how am I doing? and about the decision. I told him let's just go to the museum. I'm not yet ready to meet his mom.ㅠㅠ I'm really scared of her first impression on me! He kept asking me, am I sure about my decision, because this is the first and last time he will mentioned about it. I firm with my decision, about going to the museum. I don't wanna to trouble his mom to drive me for a long distance.

I get ready and I bring something for his mom. I don't wanna her to feel offended, so I hope my gift will at least left good impression to her. I slowly walk to the subway station. I saw him waiting for me patiently, on my mind was "Am I making a good decision??" "Did his mom or he feel offended because I'm refused to meet??" 

Slowly I approached him with a smile, then he gave me something. "This is for you, mom gave to you." At that time, I was @_@!!! I refused her offer yet she still giving me something!!! It's impolitely to not even greet her. I change my mind! I told him let's meet your mom! He asked me "are you sure?" I said yes but not for whole day please! He told me "I think if we meet mom, for sure mom will wanna drive us to somewhere, perhaps Jeonju?" I was like?? can we just meet her for a while?? On my mind was "from Gwangju to Jeonju takes approximately 2 hours, then having lunch, going around.. hmm took so many hours! She will see everything in me! T.T I am so scared!

He called his mom telling about my decision.His mom told him that its ok, no need to meet if it only for simple greeting. On my mind was "did his mom feel offended?" Owhh No!!! Then I explain to him about my culture. At last he understand it and called his mom again. ㅋㅋㅋ He explain to his mom and his mom agree to meet. Weee ^^ We wait for his mom on the side road.

About 10 minutes later, his mom arrived. I suddenly felt panic!ㅋㅋㅋ He open the door and get in the car, as I enter the car, automatically I'm saying "안녕하십니까" (anyeong hasimikka) (polite way) His mom replied as well smile. ^^ We've been quiet for a while.. I don't know what shall I tell her. ㅋㅋㅋ She asked my friend why am I being so quiet?? My friend told me to talk anything, he will translate it into Korean. Only then I start to talk.ㅋㅋㅋ Unfortunately I can't even remember what I'm talking about with her..ㅋㅋㅋ

We decided to have lunch together and later his mom will drop us to the museum. His mom really wanna take me somewhere but I says "it's ok, at least we met and I am happy for this gathering". ^^ We had our lunch at traditional restaurant. I had fish and its taste so nice!! Back at Malaysia I don't eat fish much but at Korea, I love it!!ㅋㅋㅋ His mom even pull the fish bone out for me!! A very nice lady!!! We start to feel comfortable with each other. ^^ We snap some pictures but unfortunately I can't attach it here ㅠㅠas I wanna secured their privacy. :)

Since I walked a lot and sit in a very manners way, I had leg cramp!T.T I don't know what to do, so I just massage my leg for a while..When his mom saw it his mom even massage my leg!!I felt embarrassed and guilty!Supposedly I'm the one massage her leg but it turn out to be like this! ㅋㅋㅋㅋ. I am very grateful to meet her! ^^ My friend told her that I had adopted mom at Singapore, then she told me " from now on you have family in Korea too!" You can be my adopted daughter. Such an honor for me! ^^ 

Then she drop us near to the museum, we have a last hug!ㅠㅠ She kept telling me to come again to Gwangju and let's go to Jeju together! I will someday! ^^ Then me and my friend went to Biennale Museum. For more information you can read it here.We had a very nice sightseeing in the museum. It's getting dark, so we decided to have our last dinner. We finally found one nice restaurant. Again having fish!!ㅋㅋㅋ

After finish our dinner, we went home. As usual he sent me home and as a farewell gift, he bought me a packet of grape! Our favorite!ㅋㅋㅋ Spending 2 and half days with him really makes me hard to say goodbye! We had so much fun together! I wish someday I will come again to Gwangju and meeting my Korea family! ^^ As I come in my guesthouse, I saw a familiar face!! A Sri Lankan guy! I thought he left and went to other province but he's back here again! ㅋㅋㅋ. I also saw two new face at our guesthouse, Korean guys. 

Since I was too tired, I didn't bother much ㅋㅋㅋ, I had a short conversation with the house owner. Then I went to my room. I try to pack my bag as I'm leaving tomorrow morning, to Busan. However I don't know how to pack!!ㅋㅋㅋ  Then I kept getting inbox message at my facebook. It was from that Sri Lankan guy, keep asking what am I doing inside room??? He told me to come to living room and talking with them. At first I refused but since I kept getting inbox so I go out.ㅋㅋ We had a conversation at living room. One of Korean guy were busy playing guitar, another one is watching TV. 

Then I went inside my room again. After a while I thought they might went inside their room so I can use computer. When I go out, I saw one of Korean guy using the computer, so I asked him to help me looking for a bus schedule to Busan for tomorrow. He check it and explain to me, even draw the duration for me!! ㅋㅋㅋ. Wanna know what happen tomorrow?? Did I reach Busan safely??? See you in next entry then! ^^**

My Korea Trip Journal: Day 5

Even though I slept quite late last night but I woke up early as I'm excited to go to Damyang Park! At first I've plan to go with my Seoul friend (my room mate) then I got katalk from my closed friend asking whether I'm already going out or not. Since I just woke up of course I'm not ready yet ㅋㅋㅋ so he told me that he had woke up late and not going to academy! He told me let's go to So Saewon, similar place to Damyang Bamboo Forest but a little bit smaller. I agreed and get ready to go out. ^^

Then he katalk me again and told me since its quite late, "lets just go to Damyang Bamboo Forest instead!" ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ! so I met him at usual place and we walk to U-Square, he bought the bus ticket and without checking it, we just hop on into bus! Since I travel with local people I didn't aware much however we get on the wrong bus!! ㅋㅋㅋ!! Super funny! we end up somewhere, and he even never been to that place! OK-Gwa terminal! We get off the bus and he asking to the driver. Hahah! We completely go to the wrong direction! Opposite direction!ㅋㅋㅋ

He bought another ticket and kept blaming himself!ㅋㅋㅋ I told him that's was ok and today we really become traveler. ㅋㅋㅋ .After about 20 minutes we reach Damyang, since its Sunday the place were full with people. We walking and snap some pictures. This is my first time surrounding by bamboo forest! It's feel good!! ^^ We do have bamboo back home but we didn't have bamboo forest like this. ㅠㅠ

Since I'm wearing hijabb and we were in rural city, I become center of attraction!! LOL! I'm walking with my Korean friend so most of them wonder about it I guess! ㅋㅋㅋ At one point I told my friend, its because I'm different so people were curious about me! lol Then we tried bamboo ice cream?? First ice cream I had in Korea?? The taste is like strawberry ice cream though may be we got a wrong flavor? ㅋㅋ

Then we went to the bamboo cultural village, here we saw how they paint handmade fan, making hanji papers craft and so on. We had our break here since too tired?? ㅋㅋㅋ After a while we continue and we decide to go to other place. We thought we finished cover the area so we sign the guestbook, however the lady (person in charge) told my friend to bring me to Metasequoia Street. We walk there and at half point my friend told me that he's not sure where the place is.. So we decided to go back and since its going to take almost an hour I need to fresh up myself.

Finish fresh up myself, he told me "since we were here and I'm not sure when you going to come to Gwangju again why don't we just give a try? Let's go to Metasequoia Street? and I wanna let you taste the bamboo bread (빵).I agreed and we start walking again, finally we reach the place. We try to look for the bamboo bread but it seems not available! Quite starving as we didn't have our lunch yet, so he bought donut. The donut box was very cute and the sugar that coated the donut also colorful?ㅋㅋㅋ Then when we were walking along the street we saw the bamboo bread!ㅋㅋㅋ He wanna buy for me but since we already got one box of donut, I told him no need. hehe.

After strolling and taking some pictures, we decided to go home, we try to get a cab however at that hours no cab around ㅠㅠ, so we decided to walk from Metasequoia Street to Damyang bus station. We saw sunset while walking. Very nice experience! ^^ but its getting colder too! ㅠㅠ We walked closed since it was very cold and when we were near to the town, something happen!! I am very scared of dogs! As Muslim, we cannot raised a dog so I get very scared when I saw them.

At first I just heard dog barking! I asked him, "is there many stray dog at Korea?" He told me not much, I think that's inside property. So we kept walking, but then I heard that dog barking was very near to us. I asked him again and at that time I look forward and backward. No dogs. However I didn't realize that the dog is actually next to me!! It was small dog, puppy?? When I saw it I was like became a statue!! Don't know what to do! and that puppy seems happy to see me and was trying to jump on me!!! (I think that dog wanna play with me!) On my mind was like! Ohh My!!!!! Feel wanna cry! ㅠㅠ. Seeing I'm panic, my friend pull me closed to him and to the other direction and chased the dog away. Pheww!! I was like! Die for a second??? LOL

He kept asking if I'm doing fine. ㅋㅋㅋ Since it was so cold and I just had shocking experience I guess I catch cold! Hahha!! All the way inside the bus, I just sleeping on his shoulder?? I also have no idea how come it turn out to be like that?? ㅋㅋㅋ Whenever I woke up, he kept told me to sleep again and put my head on his shoulder! ㅋㅋㅋ Then we reach Gwangju, we tried to look for the vegetarian restaurant but we can't find it!! We kept searching for it until he gave up! ㅋㅋㅋ He called his mom asking for some information and we went to his neighborhood area to look for vegetarian restaurant. We reach there unfortunately the restaurant closed!!!

What a..! ㅋㅋㅋ He called his mom again and he told me let's just go to his house. His mom offered to cook for us. I was like @_@!! I never meet any of Korean friend mom, so I'm panic! Hahha! I told him lets just go look for other vegetarian restaurant. We went to the city, Songmoo (some sort of Gangnam area if it were in Seoul) We went around few times looking for a restaurant! LOL After a while we found the restaurant!!ㅋㅋㅋ Seafood restaurant! There we ate kalguksu. ^^ Finally we had our first proper meal for today! Wee ^^

After finish, we grab some coffee. (I become coffee addicted at Korea)!! We chat for a while and heading home. On the way home I'm not feeling well and decided to cancel my plan to Jeju. ㅠㅠ I'm not 100% in good condition and I have no friend at Jeju. I save Jeju for next time ^^. When I reach home, he katalk me, saying that his mom wanna meet me personally! Again, I was like!! @_@!!! His mom offered to drive me somewhere even to Jeonju or Suncheon but just me alone, without her son! I was very nervous and can't give him the answer. ㅋㅋㅋ. He told me to think about it and let him know tomorrow morning. My mind was blank! LOL I don't even know when I fall asleep!. Wonder what was my answer??? See you in the next entry! ^^* ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
